The Horsepen Bayou MUD has recently started a drainage improvement project in the detention pond and park area on the west side of McKendree Park. The brush in this area will be cleared so that the ditch which carries NOV’s runoff to West Little York can be re-graded.
The McKendree Park detention pond will also be re-graded in order to improve drainage as well as to reduce areas where mosquitos can breed. The material removed during this process will be moved to the west side of the detention pond area, where a berm will be constructed.
Trees and shrubs will also be planted in order to hide the NOV industrial area from our neighborhood. The MUD estimates completion of the project in early spring of 2017.
Your HOA board will continue to monitor progress and will post updates here as they become available. Please feel free to Contact Us should you have any questions.
