May 2017 Yard of the Month

Due to the hard freeze we had this year the Beautification Committee has allowed extra time for our homeowners to work in their yards and therefore are beginning the awards this month. Our first winner 2017 are our residents at 6707 Beacon Manor. A $25.00 gift certificate to Houston Garden Center will be given to our winner, courtesy of Earthworks Landscaping.

Congratulations to our September Yard of the Month Winners. Our wonderful neighbors at 6514 Trenton Lake received the award. They consistently maintain a beautiful and inviting landscape adding beauty to our community.

Please note that we did not elect an August Yard of the Month as the heat and lack of rainfall made this a difficult month for landscaping.

Community Volunteer Clean Up

Some members of the Beautification committee along with community homeowner volunteers adults and children were out cleaning up the trash along both sides of the entrance of McKendree Park Drive. Trash along the walking trail remains and we are asking for community homeowner volunteers to meet at 9:30AM tomorrow April 19, 2016 at the trail to complete the clean up job. Thank you especially to our homeowners on Emeraldshire who so kindly stepped up and lent a hand to us. Unfortunate that the storm came on our trash pick up scheduled date and caused all the mess. Together, we can have our area cleaned up and looking nice once again. Thank you.

MUD Trail Project-Update

The MUD district has advised that the project has been delayed due to contractual concerns. Beginning Tuesday, January 19, the Texas Tree Team will be trimming trees that have hangover, to homeowners whose backyards lead to the retention pond. Please note that Texas Tree Team may request access to your backyard area to remove/clean any branches that may fall into your yard. Updates will be posted as received from the MUD district.

Thank you to our Beautification Volunteer Committee member for picking up the loose trash surrounding the pond and project area today.
